Martin Luther King's Beliefs
As Martin Luther King, Jr. came forth as a leader in the civil rights movement, his beliefs from his foundations were put into action. Based on Mahatma Gandhi, his beliefs of non-violent resistance were proven to be an effective method to combat racial segregation. Martin Luther King, Jr. captured the attention of the nation with this philosophy and his steadfast commitment to it. According to Martin Luther King, Jr., this was the only solution that could cure society’s evil, and create lasting society of peaceful racial commingling.
